Israel: Informed by US, Iran is preparing to launch missile attacks.

Israeli military officials said on Tuesday that the United States has notified Israel that “Iran is preparing to immediately launch missiles at Israel,” but so far, no “air threat from Iran” has been detected.

Axios was the first to report this. The media correspondent tweeted on social media that according to sources, it is expected that Iran will use high-speed missiles to attack Israel, instead of drones or cruise missiles, because these high-speed missiles require longer defense and interception preparation time.

Epoch Times was unable to confirm the source and accuracy of this information.

According to Axios’ report on Tuesday, senior U.S. officials said there are signs that Iran is preparing to launch ballistic missile attacks on Israel.

Following a series of recent assassination events targeting Hezbollah leaders in Israel, Iran has vowed to retaliate. The White House has warned Iran that if they retaliate against Israel, they will face “serious consequences.”

An Israeli senior official told Axios that the latest information indicates the attack will occur within the next few hours. This official stated that the U.S. warning was issued around noon local time (5 a.m. Eastern Time).

A direct source indicated that Israel and the U.S. assess that the scale of the Iranian attack will be similar to the direct attack on Israeli territory in April, the first time Iran had done so. That drone and missile attack was largely repelled by Israel and its U.S.-led allies. Several people in Israel were injured, but there were no fatalities.

Iran has yet to respond to this imminent attack and has also rejected Hezbollah’s calls to attack Israel over the past two weeks.

Israeli Defense Forces spokesperson Admiral Daniel Hagari stated that the U.S. has informed the Israeli Defense Forces that “Iran is preparing to launch missiles at Israel immediately,” but no “air threat from Iran” has been identified.

“Our air defense systems are fully prepared, and Air Force jets are patrolling the skies. We are in the highest state of readiness for offense and defense together with our partners from the United States, closely monitoring the situation developing in Iran. An Iranian attack on Israel will have consequences,” said Hagari.

At the same time, he urged the public to follow government guidance for evacuation.

Last Friday, Hezbollah leaders and senior Iranian generals were killed in Israeli airstrikes. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei did not hint at how Iran would respond, but he vowed to make the Israeli government “regret its actions.”
