Israel claims it has killed Hezbollah logistics commander

On October 8th, Israel announced that its military had destroyed a senior logistics commander responsible for Hezbollah’s terrorist organization headquarters in the Beirut area in an airstrike on Monday.

The headquarters oversaw Hezbollah’s logistical work and managed various units of the terrorist organization. The commander who was eliminated was named Suhail Hussein Husseini.

The Israeli Defense Forces statement said Husseini played a “crucial role” in weapons transfers between Iran and Hezbollah, as well as distributing advanced weapons among Hezbollah’s various units. Additionally, he was a member of Hezbollah’s high-level military leadership body known as the “Jihad Council.”

Husseini was also involved in the budgeting and management of Hezbollah operations, including terrorist attacks from Lebanese territory against Israel and Syria.

Hezbollah has not yet issued an immediate response to this. However, the terrorist group’s deputy leader, Sheikh Naim Kassem, stated in a television declaration on the 8th that the organization’s military capabilities remain intact. He also mentioned that all senior commanders had been replaced. Most of the organization’s commanders have recently died in precise Israeli airstrikes.

On October 7th, Israel commemorated the one-year anniversary of being attacked by the terrorist group Hamas, which launched a barrage of rockets towards Israel.

A year ago, Hamas militants breached Israel’s security fence, stormed military bases and agricultural communities, resulting in approximately 1,200 deaths, mostly civilians, and the abduction of another 250 people. Currently, about 100 hostages are still missing, with one-third believed to have perished.
