Interview: Second Son Talks About Trump and Family’s Ruthless Attacks

【Epoch Times September 29, 2025】Eric Trump is the second son of US President Donald Trump, and also the author of the upcoming book “Under Siege: My Family’s Fight to Save Our Nation”.

In an exclusive interview with Epoch Times reporter Jan Jekielek, Eric revealed that the relentless attacks from the left in the United States over the past decade have greatly threatened his career and family, even putting his father’s life in danger.

He said that this experience has made him more determined than ever to fight for his beliefs.

The interview has been edited for clarity and brevity.

Jan Jekielek: Your family has been in turmoil for quite some time, as mentioned in your new book. When did you personally realize that irreversible change had occurred?

Eric Trump: I’ll never forget. When my father took office in Washington, D.C., he handed the company over to me. I never thought I would be the one not protected by the Constitution. You know, the President of the United States is protected by the Constitution. But I wasn’t. Maybe you could say, I became the most subpoenaed person in American history.

Within a short period, I received 112 subpoenas. These were major subpoenas from the Senate, Congress, and the most authoritative state attorneys general and district attorneys in the country. They wanted to make our family business fail, bankrupt us, put my father in prison, put me in prison, erase the Trump name from every building around the world.

They wanted to destroy our family relationships. They wanted to sever the bond between my siblings and me. They wanted to break up my father and Melania’s relationship. They raided our home. They tried to impeach him. They took us off Twitter, Instagram, and other platforms.

They used the Department of Justice as a weapon, monitored my father’s campaign, fabricated the “Russia hoax” lies. They falsified those dirty files. They removed him from the ballots in Colorado. Then they removed him from the ballots in Maine.

And how many lawsuits did they file? 91, in Fulton County, Georgia, in far-left New York City, in Washington, D.C., etc. They wanted his mugshot as a suspect, then they even tried to kill him.

This is what those people have done to our family. They want to destroy us. They want to suffocate the MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement.

Just two weeks ago, everyone saw what they did to Charlie Kirk, right? They did the same things. They want to suppress that voice. That’s what my new book, “Under Siege,” is about. I tell thousands of untold stories in the book, about how those people have tried to destroy our family, tried to destroy the greatest political movement in American history.

Jan Jekielek: How has this affected your family itself?

Eric Trump: Honestly, I feel like it’s turned us into stone. What I mean is, it might have made me numb. I remember the first time I received a subpoena, it felt like a gut punch. (Later) I received 10 subpoenas, and it felt like, “Here we go again.”

(Now) I know it’s a game; it’s a game. It’s not a fun game, it’s not a dignified game, but it’s a game, and I’ve come to define it as a game. This game is very evil. The opponents are sick people.

Some people want to destroy this country, some just want to ruin someone because they hold a different view.

First, they mocked him (President Trump), ridiculed him. Do you remember the White House Correspondents’ Dinner incident? Then they want to silence him. They removed him from social media. I mean, Boko Haram, Ayatollah, Taliban, Hezbollah, they all have Twitter accounts. But guess who can’t have a Twitter account? The 45th President of the United States. He can’t have a Facebook account either. They wrote to my wife, saying, “If you talk about Donald Trump on YouTube, we’ll take you down.”

When they couldn’t come after him legally, they resorted to violence.

This is a crazy fight, a fight we overcome difficulties and ultimately win. This is the real theme of the book “Under Siege”.
