Intense Campaign: He Jinli Heads to Georgia, Trump Rushes to Arizona

Less than two weeks away from election day, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Trump are relentlessly campaigning nationwide.

Harris is scheduled to campaign in Georgia on Thursday, alongside former President Barack Obama. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, American singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen will headline the “Vote” rally in Atlanta. The event is set to take place from 2 PM to 8 PM Eastern Time.

Georgia is a crucial state being contested by both candidates, with record-high early voting numbers reported last week. According to election predictions from DDHQ, Trump is slightly leading in the state with a 48.6% to 47.5% vote margin over Harris.

Georgia, known for its substantial African-American voter population, is one of the key battleground states in the November 5 presidential election.

On the same day, Harris’s running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, will speak in Wilmington, North Carolina. American singer-songwriter James Taylor is expected to be the main attraction at this event, starting at 3 PM and continuing until 8 PM Eastern Time.

Earlier this week, Walz joined Obama in representing Harris in Madison, Wisconsin. During the rally, Walz criticized Trump’s energy policies while Obama urged voters to actively participate in the fierce competition.

Former President Trump is equally active, heading to Tempe, Arizona on Thursday for a rally, as Arizona remains a critical battleground state. The event will address housing costs and affordability issues, as outlined in a news release on the Trump-Pence website.

DDHQ polling indicates Trump leads Harris in Arizona with 49% to 47.3% support. In the Arizona Senate race, Congressman Ruben Gallego holds a 50% to 42% advantage over Kari Lake, the Republican candidate supported by Trump.

Lake, expressing support for Trump’s border policies during an October 9 debate, emphasized the need for addressing threats at the border. She stated, “We need someone who understands the border threat. I know, President Trump knows. From day one, we should start undoing the damage caused by Harris, Joe Biden, and Ruben Gallego.”

NewsNation will host a mayoral town hall meeting on Thursday with Trump’s running mate, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, in Detroit, Michigan. Moderated by Chris Cuomo, the hour-long event is set to begin at 8 PM Eastern Time and will be exclusively livestreamed on the X social platform.

Michigan is another key swing state, with DDHQ polling showing Trump leading Harris with a slight margin of 48.2% to 47.9%.

On October 1, CBS hosted the first and only vice presidential debate between Vance and Walz. The debate was spirited yet respectful, earning Vance rare praise from liberal media outlets. In a survey of thirteen columnists and contributors by The New York Times, nine believed Vance won the debate. A post-debate CNN poll showed Vance leading by a slim 2% margin.
