In the first quarter of 2024, the number of visitors to Hong Kong surged 1.5 times to reach 11.23 million.

The Hong Kong Tourism Board announced that a total of 11.23 million visitors came to Hong Kong in the first quarter of this year, an increase of 1.5 times compared to the same period last year. This also marks a 5% increase from the fourth quarter of last year. This data reflects a gradual growth in the number of visitors to Hong Kong.

In March, there were approximately 3.4 million visitors to Hong Kong, representing a nearly 40% increase compared to the previous year. Of these, 2.467 million were from mainland China, showing a 25.4% increase year-on-year, while 0.9345 million were from non-mainland areas, reflecting a significant 92.1% increase year-on-year.
