On October 6, a tour bus carrying 42 tourists in Iceland overturned on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, injuring more than 10 people, including multiple Chinese passengers.
According to a social media post by a netizen, on the day of the incident, while on a tour in Iceland, their bus overturned on the return journey from Snæfellsnes, with all the right side windows smashed.
On the afternoon of the 7th, eyewitness Jiang Jun (alias) described to Extreme News that during the incident, the bus veered off the road and rolled over, resulting in over 10 people being urgently transported to hospitals for treatment. There were several Chinese individuals on board the bus.
Jiang Jun stated that in the accident, his back also suffered severe impact, initially trying to relieve it with ice packs. Upon waking up early in the morning, he found his back “very painful,” feeling unable to move, which had affected his mobility.
Local media reports cited by local media said that the tour bus was carrying 42 tourists and the incident occurred at Seyðisfjörður Bay on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula in Iceland, where the vehicle went off the road. After the incident, local police dispatched a helicopter to transport two of the injured to a major hospital, while other casualties were taken by ambulance to different medical facilities.
