The netizen revealed that the unfortunate student who passed away was her third aunt’s grandson, an 11-year-old fifth-grade student at Juhua Bubugao Primary School affiliated with Hunan Normal University. On the morning of April 12th, the boy was lively when going to school but suddenly fell ill during class. Due to the neglect of the teacher, they failed to call the 120 emergency ambulance promptly or inform the parents or school leaders.
It wasn’t until close to noon that the teacher finally informed the parents, and upon hurriedly arriving at the school, the parents realized the severity of the situation and called for the emergency services. What angered many was that when the ambulance reached the school gate, the security guard refused to let them in through the designated gate for teachers, further delaying rescue efforts by seven to eight minutes, resulting in the child’s untimely death on the morning of the 14th.
The distraught parents hope for an explanation from the school, with discussions ongoing between the family and the school on the 17th.
A school staff member mentioned that on the 16th, the school, together with the education department, the family, and the village cadre of the family, were in negotiations to resolve the issue, with specifics being undisclosed.
The Education Bureau of Yuhu District in Xiangtan stated that they are currently investigating, with no final conclusions yet. It was mentioned that the student who passed away was reportedly suffering from a cerebral hemorrhage. Regarding the incident with the school security guard preventing the entry of the ambulance, the spokesperson was not aware and couldn’t provide an answer.
Public records show that Juhua Bubugao Primary School affiliated with Hunan Normal University is a full-time public school jointly established through collaboration between Xiangtan Economic Development Zone and Bubugao Group, integrating educational resources from Hunan Normal University. The school is located on the east side of Bubugao New World in Xiangtan Economic Development Zone.
