On June 25, 2024, popular South Korean girl group Wonder Girls’ former member Yubin announced on her YouTube channel that she is expecting her second child. She shared her pregnancy experience before giving birth to her eldest son and the current situation with her second pregnancy.
Yubin married taekwondo athlete Shin Min-cheol in July 2020, and they welcomed their first son in February 2022. On the 25th, Yubin posted a video on her YouTube channel “Lim’s Diary” with her husband, revealing the news of her second pregnancy. She disclosed that the video was recorded during the 12th week of her pregnancy.
In the video, Yubin also mentioned the symptoms she experienced during her second pregnancy and her experience before giving birth to her eldest son. She mentioned that during her first pregnancy, she hardly experienced any difficult symptoms or morning sickness, and even had a good appetite that led her to gain 20 kilograms.
However, with her second pregnancy, she constantly felt nauseous and had to take medication, and she also had acne breakouts on her face. Yubin also revealed that she developed a strong craving for fruits after becoming pregnant with her second child, and she is looking forward to whether it will be a daughter this time, hoping to fulfill their ideal vision of having “one son and one daughter.”
The couple also shared the origin of their child’s name, which was derived from their eldest son’s pronunciation of “Thank you,” symbolizing “thank you for coming into our lives.”
