Hui Li shares happiness before birthday, donating to help underprivileged groups receive medical care.

On June 9th, South Korean girl group Girl’s Day member Lee Hye-ri will be celebrating her birthday. Her agency, SUBLIME, announced that Hye-ri made a donation of 50 million Korean won (approximately 1.29 million New Taiwan dollars or 40,000 US dollars) to Seoul Ewha Hospital. The donation will be used to help vulnerable groups such as low-income individuals with medical needs.

Hye-ri stated regarding her donation, “Upon hearing the stories of people abandoning treatment due to economic difficulties, I participated in this sharing initiative with the hope that more people can dream of the future with a healthy face. Although my birthday is a special day for me, I am happy to share happiness with everyone, and I will continue to work hard to repay everyone’s love.”

In 2019, Hye-ri became a member of the UNICEF Honors Club for high-value donors when her donations reached 100 million Korean won. In 2020, she donated another 100 million Korean won to help children in North Gyeongsang Province, which was severely affected by the epidemic in South Korea. Moreover, when South Korea faced major forest fires and Turkey experienced a devastating earthquake, Hye-ri also made donations to support the affected communities.

Hye-ri’s contract with her former agency, Creative Group ING, expired last month. She chose not to renew the contract and instead joined the agency SUBLIME. This agency represents well-known South Korean actors such as Song Kang-ho, HANI from EXID (Ahn Hee-yeon), Tiffany Young from Girls’ Generation, Cheng Yu-jin from Lovelyz, and Jackson from GOT7.

Furthermore, the cheerleader movie “Victory,” in which Hye-ri plays a leading role, is scheduled to be released this year.
