A video shared by locals depicts the aftermath of a devastating event where a truck was swept away by water while crossing a bridge, resulting in the loss of four lives. Even after the downpour, the streets remained flooded with numerous cars submerged in muddy waters.
As of 12:28 PM on July 14th, Danjiangkou City recorded a 12-hour cumulative rainfall of 260 millimeters, surpassing historical records. The heavy rainfall has led to severe flooding in certain areas, causing road closures and trapping residents in communities in the Danjiangkou area.
Since last weekend, Hubei province, including cities like Shiyan, Wuhan, Yichang, and Xiaogan, has been facing heavy rainfall. The sudden deluge has caused rivers to swell rapidly and water flow to become turbulent.
In a recent incident in Sui County, Hubei Province, a small vehicle unfortunately fell into the water during the storm.
A video posted by netizens reported a vehicle being swept away while crossing a bridge in Fugang Town, Zengdu District, Sui County, Hubei, with multiple occupants losing contact. Locals commented that the van, which regularly shuttled between villages to transport residents, was washed away by the water flow.
According to the Xiaoxiang Morning News report, Sui County, Hubei issued a red alert for heavy rain on July 14th. On July 15th, a truck crossing a bridge was swept away by the water, leading to the tragic deaths of four individuals, including an elderly person and a child heading for classes.

On July 17th, a local netizen shared a video exposing the grim aftermath of the floods in Hubei, exclaiming, “What kind of suffering is this?” The footage revealed that the water had not receded from the streets, leaving vehicles still submerged in the floods.
