On July 23, mainland Chinese actor Hu Ge was caught on camera while working with his wife Huang Xining by his side, leading netizens to describe the scene as having a sense of husband and wife harmony.
In the footage leaked on Weibo, Hu Ge was seen wearing a white suit, looking gentlemanly and dignified, albeit slightly fatigued. As he descended the stairs, he was focused on listening to a voice message on his phone, with several people closely following behind him, including a short-haired woman wearing a green face mask, who turned out to be Hu Ge’s wife, Huang Xining.
The visuals showed Huang Xining in a black T-shirt and simple jeans, dressed modestly and unassuming, making it easy for onlookers to mistake her for a staff member.
At 41 years old, Hu Ge announced his marriage to a non-public figure wife last January, causing quite a stir due to the unexpected news, fueling curiosity about his partner. Although he did not disclose her identity, a well-known entertainment blogger named “Jiang Xiaoyan” on Weibo revealed that Hu Ge’s wife is Huang Xining, born in 1993, making her 11 years younger than him. Interestingly, it was pointed out from previous information that Hu Ge’s talent agent is also named Huang Xining, indicating they might be the same person.
In late March, Hu Ge took his wife to Lhasa, Tibet for a trip, where Huang Xining was seen walking behind him. Hu Ge was captured on camera throughout the trip, carrying things for his wife and taking care of her needs, portraying a heartwarming scene that touched many. Netizens joked that “Huang Xining marrying Hu Ge must have saved the galaxy in their past life.”
On July 5, the first public photo of Hu Ge and his wife together was shared. In the picture, the couple wore black short-sleeved shirts, looking affectionate standing side by side. Although the Hong Kong artist Liu Songren quickly deleted a dining photo with them, the image topped the trending topics on Weibo.
During an interview last month, Hu Ge shared his experience of cutting the umbilical cord when his daughter was born, expressing nervousness and worry rather than the ecstatic excitement seen in TV dramas. He candidly mentioned that the TV scenes were all fake, and his hands were shaking while cutting the cord, even receiving skeptical glances from the doctors, as if questioning his ability. The audience and host couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
Furthermore, Hu Ge shared some heartwarming moments of bonding with his daughter. He mentioned how her soft voice requesting a hug made him feel incredibly happy and fulfilled. He also revealed that although she can’t walk yet, she can already say many words. Whenever he hears his daughter sweetly calling him “daddy,” his heart fills with pride and joy.
Hu Ge’s drama series “Blooming Flowers” recently aired in Taiwan, where fans noticed a surprising cameo from his wife, Huang Xining, as an extra in the first episode. She played a passerby in the market who accidentally dropped oranges when passing by “A Bao” (portrayed by Hu Ge) on a bicycle. Despite the brief appearance, her elegant features and radiant smile were unmistakable, quickly making their unexpected on-screen collaboration a hot topic.
According to mainland media reports, “Blooming Flowers” was filmed in 2020, when Huang Xining was just Hu Ge’s talent agent. After getting married and having a daughter, she no longer manages Hu Ge’s career affairs, dedicating herself to caring for their family. As Hu Ge descended the stairs in the recent footage, the staff was seen holding an umbrella for him, showing attentive care. Perhaps this was a role previously handled by Huang Xining, indicating a significant change in her responsibilities now.
