Denver Moore, a 104-year-old American WWII veteran, recently received a birthday greeting video from former President Donald Trump, fulfilling his birthday wish.
Moore, from Ohio, has been a supporter of Trump. In March of this year, he uploaded a video on TikTok inviting Trump to join his birthday party. The video quickly went viral, attracting over 890,000 views.
In the video, he said, “I will be turning 104 in May, and I sincerely invite you to come to Canal Fulton for my birthday party. I voted for you last year and hope to vote for you again.”
On Thursday, May 16, Moore received a special birthday video recorded by Trump through Federal Congressman Michael Rulli. In the video, Trump warmly expressed, “Happy 104th birthday to you! This is a blessing from your favorite president – me, Donald Trump.”
He mentioned that due to dealing with various international affairs involving Russia, Ukraine, and China, he couldn’t attend in person, but he thanked Moore for his contributions to the country and support for the “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) ideology.
Currently residing at the Danbury Retirement Center south of Cleveland, Moore expressed his happiness after watching the video, saying, “My wish came true, and this is truly a gift for a good person.”
After the video went viral, Moore received congratulations and cards from all over the United States and even Africa. He said, “This journey is truly wonderful.”
Congressman Rulli mentioned that upon learning that this elderly veteran lived in his district, he contacted the White House to arrange this special video. “President Trump and his team’s response exceeded expectations. I also appreciate the assistance from the retirement center in making Moore’s birthday unforgettable.”
Moore served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and later worked for the Postal Service after retiring. He shared a 75-year marriage with his late wife, Thelma Lee, and raised three children.
At 104 years old, he still maintains a clear mind and healthy body. He shared his secret to longevity, saying, “Stay active, don’t be idle. I was a mail carrier for 20 years, grew up on a farm, always had something to do. Even if there’s nothing, I’ll find something to do.”
“So to live long, you have to stay active,” he added, “and also – marry the right person and spend a lifetime with her.”
