Highlight to visit Taiwan for the first time after regaining trademark rights, will hold a concert in Kaohsiung in July.

South Korean boy band Highlight will be making a long-awaited return to Taiwan after 6 years as part of their Asian tour. The “HIGHLIGHT LIVE 2024 [LIGHTS GO ON, AGAIN] IN KAOHSIUNG” concert is scheduled to take place on July 6th at the Kaohsiung Pop Music Center.

Last February, Highlight held a fan concert in the form of a sports event titled “2023 HIGHLIGHT FANCON [HIGHTLIGHT FIELD DAY] IN TAIPEI” in Taipei. This time, they will be hosting a formal concert in Kaohsiung.

In April this year, Highlight reached an agreement with their former management company CUBE Entertainment to regain the rights to the old group name “BEAST”. On the 10th of the month, they held three consecutive concerts in Korea, attracting thousands of fans. They excitedly shouted their old greeting slogan “So Beast”, bringing tears of joy to their supporters. They carefully curated their setlist for the 15th-anniversary concert, showcasing a mix of their popular hits and new performances.

In recent years, Highlight members have been actively engaged in both group and individual activities. Member Lee Gi-kwang, for example, appeared in the idol drama “Marry Me Now” and took part in the production of their 5th mini-album “Switch On” released in March. The album featured 5 songs, with Lee Gi-kwang contributing to the composition of 3 tracks, including the title track “BODY” which achieved top rankings on music programs and even moved him to tears during a live performance.

This event marks a significant moment for Highlight and their fans, as they continue to showcase their versatility and talents both as a group and as individuals. With their upcoming concert in Kaohsiung, fans can expect a memorable and heartfelt performance from the beloved boy band.
