Now people can purchase used cars released by the largest car rental company in the United States, Hertz, on Amazon.
Hertz announced on August 20 (Wednesday) that it has officially entered the Amazon Autos platform, where customers can browse thousands of used cars online and apply for loans to make purchases. After completing the transaction online, customers can pick up the cars at specific Hertz stores.
Currently, this service is only available in Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, and Seattle. Residents within 75 miles of Los Angeles can take advantage of this new way to buy used cars. Hertz has stated that they plan to expand this service to 45 locations across the United States.
Hertz is not only a car rental company but also one of the largest used car dealers in the U.S., selling thousands of cars every year. In the past, Hertz would sell their used cars to other dealerships, but this collaboration with Amazon marks the first time they are offering their inventory directly to consumers.
In its statement, Hertz mentioned that as the first fleet dealer on Amazon Autos, they are continuously expanding their inventory, offering car brands including Ford, Toyota, Chevrolet, Nissan, and more.
“This collaboration is based on Amazon Autos’ recent entry into the used car sales market, aiming to provide customers with more choices and greater convenience when buying a car,” the statement read. Purchasing Hertz cars on the Amazon Autos platform provides the following benefits:
