Henan female teacher drives car and injures two elementary school students, suspended.

Recently, the news of a teacher at Hubei Hebi Experimental School hitting and injuring two primary school students while driving on campus has sparked attention online. On September 19, the school authorities stated that one of the children has already returned to school while the other is still in the intensive care unit but not in critical condition.

According to a report by Zonglan News, on September 19, staff at Hebi Experimental School mentioned that the accident occurred on September 10. On that day, the female teacher, Guo, hit two fifth-grade girls near the school parking lot while driving her car.

It was reported that Guo’s car was relatively large, and there might have been a blind spot at the time, causing her not to notice the two students. However, the specific reason needs to be determined by the police.

After the incident, both students were taken to the hospital for treatment. Currently, one student has returned to school while the other student is still receiving treatment in the intensive care unit, with no life-threatening injuries. The medical expenses for the two injured students have accumulated to nearly 60,000 yuan, which Guo has already paid.

Guo has been suspended and is under investigation.

On May 23, 2023, a serious campus traffic accident also occurred at Hongqiao Primary School in Hanyang District, Wuhan. A first-grade male student was hit and run over by a teacher’s car on campus, leading to his death. Subsequently, due to unbearable online harassment and immense pressure, the child’s mother tragically died by falling from a building on June 2 of the same year.

Netizens have expressed their opinions, with many saying, “Vehicles should be strictly prohibited from entering school premises.” “Schools tend to favor teachers over students.” “It’s tragic that campus safety has become merely a slogan. School leaders must collectively take responsibility for this.”
