A bizarre incident recently occurred in Hebei province, where a woman using a portable toilet by the roadside was accidentally lifted onto a truck along with the toilet, which then drove onto the highway. It wasn’t until the driver noticed something was amiss and stopped to check that the woman was able to walk out from the toilet. The video of this incident has sparked heated discussions online.
According to a report by Fushun City Radio and Television Station on May 14th, the event took place on May 11th. On that day, as the woman entered the portable toilet by the roadside, the staff were preparing to move the toilet without checking if there was anyone inside. Consequently, the woman in the midst of using the restroom was unknowingly “packaged” onto the truck.
Initially, due to the good soundproofing inside the toilet, the woman did not sense anything unusual. It was only when the vehicle started to bump along the road and external noises became audible that she realized the toilet she was in was being moved. She shouted for help, but the driver remained oblivious until glancing at the rearview mirror and noticing the commotion in the cabin, prompting an emergency stop to check, leading to the woman’s rescue.
In a circulated video, after a forklift moved the toilet to the ground and the door swung open, the woman emerged from inside. A man seemed to be inquiring about her well-being, unable to contain his laughter, while the woman awkwardly smiled before leaving the scene.
The video has stirred discussions online, with many netizens joking that “this is the true meaning of a portable toilet,” pondering whether to laugh or cry, concluding with “it’s a mix of emotions,” and describing it as “totally eccentric.”
While some expressed sympathy, others criticized the negligence of the staff responsible for transporting the portable toilet, deeming it as an “accident.”
