This year, veteran stage planner Li Shiqi, with years of experience in ceremony stage planning, is once again in charge of the Golden Melody Awards stage. In addition to the main stage, a special extension stage has been set up on the side to add color to performances and award presentations.
Li Shiqi mentioned that during the initial conception phase, he had been thinking about how to break away from the traditional ceremony mindset and present a unique visual effect. Therefore, the decision was made to set up an extension stage on the side of the main stage for use during award presentations. Li expressed that this kind of planning poses a new challenge for the directing team in terms of camera switching. After thorough communication, he believes that the visual effects presented at the event will surprise the audience.
The addition of an extension stage on the side of the main stage creates a visually stunning sense of balance, despite the seemingly asymmetrical stage design. The L-shaped LED-covered columns above the extension stage envelop it, enhancing the visual effects of the stage. Li Shiqi also pointed out that this year’s stage design aligns with the main visual concept of exploration and seeing the light through the clouds. The main visual uses a cave to convey exploratory meanings, while the stage uses LED columns to create a more transparent and impactful effect.
The stairs on this year’s ceremony stage are longer than in previous years. When winners walk from their seats to the stage, they feel as though they are walking through a runway, symbolizing significant moments in their music journey.
