Generations of Filial Piety Honored at Family Appreciation Event in New York’s Confucius Mansion This Saturday

The United Chinese Global Peace Association in the United States is set to hold a ceremony on May 11th (Saturday) at the Confucius Plaza in New York’s Chinatown to honor 13 families for their filial piety spanning three generations.

This event will highlight the Chinese community’s commitment to traditional values and recognize families that continue to uphold traditional filial piety in modern society. Many of the award-winning families come from various Chinese leaders within organizations, including multi-generational families who will jointly take the stage to receive recognition.

Among the honored families this year are those of Mei Zhencai, President of the New York Poetry and Painting Chess Association, Cen Zhuocai, Chairman of the Board, as well as the family of Liang Shuhong, Chairman of the US-China Cultural Industry Center, who have made contributions to New York’s Chinatown.

The ceremony for honoring families spanning three generations will take place on May 11th (Saturday) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Confucius Plaza Assembly Hall, located at 1-9 Bowery St. For more information, please contact [email protected].
