Gao Yalin Forced to Pay 3.1 Million Yuan, Previously Accused of Infidelity and Domestic Violence

53-year-old mainland Chinese actor Gao Yalin, also known as Gao Yalin, was forced to pay around 3.1 million yuan on August 11, sparking attention and becoming a hot topic on Weibo.

According to Tianyancha APP, Gao Yalin and “Tianjin Zhengyuan Film and TV Media Co., Ltd.” recently had a new execution information posted, with the execution target being approximately 3.1047 million yuan, and the executing court being Beijing Second Intermediate People’s Court.

Information shows that “Tianjin Zhengyuan Film and TV Media Co., Ltd.” was established on July 5, 2022, with a registered capital of 1 million yuan. Its business scope includes film production services, and other cultural and artistic agency services. The company is owned 10% by Gao Yalin and 90% by Guo Ying.

Currently, Gao Yalin has affiliations with over 10 companies. The 7.88 million yuan equity in Hangzhou Jiahui Yihe Investment Partnership Enterprise (limited partnership) owned by him has been frozen, with the freezing period from September 5, 2024, to September 4, 2027.

In May of this year, the patriotic drama “Days of the Criminal Police,” broadcasted by CCTV, stirred up discussions. Actor Gao Yalin, who played Huang in the series, was replaced by AI with actor Zhang Lei due to his involvement in extramarital affairs and domestic violence last year. Zhang Lei also re-voiced and completed the performance in the drama.

On May 8th last year, mainland Chinese actress Wei Jia exposed Gao Yalin for cheating on her and abusing her during her pregnancy period, with another female actress being the target of the affair. Related terms trended on hot searches, with the reading volume exceeding 400 million at one point.

Gao Yalin graduated from the “People’s Liberation Army Academy of Arts.” He rose to fame for his role as Xia Donghai in the TV series “Home with Kids,” earning the title of “national dad.” He later starred in dramas such as “Ming Dynasty under the Microscope,” “Here is a Red Flower for You,” and “Let’s Shake the Sun Together.” In 2004, Gao Yalin dated actress Shi Wei, who is 11 years younger than him. They officially married in 2008, with Gao Yalin stating on a program that he was “love at first sight” with Wei.

Information shows that the whistleblower Wei Jia is also an actress, approximately 20 years younger than Gao Yalin, and has acted in works such as “Crazy Fist” and “A Hopeful Grocery Store.” She responded to netizens on Weibo, revealing that she and Gao Yalin were not married, claiming “why get married if he cheated during my pregnancy period,” and disclosing that Gao Yalin had long been divorced from his ex-wife but kept it private.

Chinese media outlet “Tencent News” once published an article uncovering Gao Yalin’s emotional timeline, revealing that there were no scandals during his over ten years of marriage with his ex-wife Wei. The turning point came after he simultaneously acted as an actor, screenwriter, and producer in the bureaucracy-covered drama “In the Name of the People,” and then invested in and directed the 35-episode drama “Undercover Policewoman,” where he met Wei Jia. The article stated that the two had a short overlap, with the major drama starting filming in 2018, the woman giving birth to the man’s child in January 2021, and then the man cheating during the woman’s pregnancy period, totaling around three years. After scandals of domestic abuse and cheating were exposed, Gao Yalin’s “national dad” image plummeted.
