Former Deputy Director of the State Forestry and Grassland Administration of China, Li Chunliang, is under investigation.

On May 13th, the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China and the National Supervisory Commission announced that Li Chunliang, former member of the Party Group and deputy director of the State Forestry and Grassland Administration, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission.

Li Chunliang, born in February 1963 in Bazhou, Hebei Province, worked in the Local Cadres Bureau of the Central Organization Department of the Communist Party of China since 1997. He has held positions such as deputy division-level researcher, deputy director and deputy director of the Office of Cadres Division II, director of Division II, and deputy director of Division II.

In 2008, Li Chunliang took up a post in a local area as the Deputy Minister of the Organization Department of the Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee, and the following year also served as the director of the Bureau of Veterans Affairs of the provincial party committee.

In 2011, Li Chunliang returned to the Central Organization Department and served as an inspector and deputy director of the Cadres Division II, and in 2013 as the director of the Cadres Division IV.

In December 2016, Li Chunliang was appointed as the Deputy Director of the National Forestry Administration (later renamed as the Deputy Director of the State Forestry and Grassland Administration) and a member of the Communist Party Group, until he was removed from office in April 2023.

In December 2023, Li Chunliang was appointed as the President of the China Wildlife Conservation Association.
