Ford Recalls Nearly 133,000 Aviator SUVs in the United States

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) of the United States announced on Tuesday (June 24) that Ford will recall 132,914 Lincoln Aviator SUVs in the United States due to insufficient adhesive bonding strength, which may cause parts such as rear door window bars to detach.

This recall involves Lincoln Aviator models from 2020 to 2025.

The day before, Ford announced a recall of 32,000 Ford Mustang Mach-E electric SUVs in Canada from the 2021 to 2025 model years, citing a defect in the door lock that could potentially trap passengers inside the vehicle. They will also recall 200,000 units of the same model electric cars in the United States.

Earlier, from March 31 to April 6, Ford recalled over 105,000 Ford Expeditions and Lincoln Navigators from the 2018 to 2020 model years, as the seat belt pretensioners for the driver and/or front passenger seats may inadvertently lock, preventing the seat belt from retracting or being pulled out properly.
