Flushing Main Street Sidewalks Stained with Blood, Police Conducting Preliminary Investigation: Someone Injured in Fight

Early in the morning on July 3rd, at around 7 o’clock, the police blocked off the entrance of Kissena Corridor Park on Main St. in Flushing, where scattered bloodstains were found on the street. According to police investigations, it was revealed that a fight had occurred resulting in injuries and blood being shed along the way, prompting the police to cordon off the park entrance for further investigation.

One local resident, Ms. Li, who was doing her morning exercise routine at Kissena Corridor Park, mentioned that around 7 a.m., the police cordoned off the park entrance on Main St. with yellow caution tape. She stated that the police informed the morning exercisers that bloodstains were discovered under a tree at the park entrance. After finishing her workout around 8 a.m., Ms. Li walked back home along Main St. and noticed scattered bloodstains along the sidewalk, indicating fresh droplets all the way to the area near the Bank of China.

Upon observation, the reporter noted that besides cordoning off the entrance of Kissena Corridor Park on Main St., the police also used yellow caution tape to cordon off the sidewalk along Elder St., all the way to Colden St. The bloodstains were more noticeable on Elder St., yet less apparent on Main St., which were only visible upon close inspection.

Police officers stationed in the cordoned-off area of the park informed the reporter that the blockade was set up for investigation purposes.

In the afternoon, the police announced that through reviewing surveillance footage, it was discovered that a person had been injured in a fight at a bar, leading to blood dropping onto the sidewalk as the individual left the scene. However, the injured person did not report the incident to the authorities nor did they succumb to their injuries.
