Famous Chinese milk tea brand “Hey Tea” opened its doors on April 26th (Friday) on Main Street in Flushing, New York, marking its second location in the city. To celebrate the grand opening, the store ran a special promotion of buy one get one free from the opening day to the third day, attracting scores of young consumers who lined up on the street to make purchases.
Upon interviewing several customers, it was revealed that most of them came to the store after seeing advertisements on Xiaohongshu (Red) app. The store staff members were attentive in providing service outside the store, informing customers that even if they missed the first three days, they could still enjoy half-price on the second cup from the fourth to the seventh day.
These young people, eager to share their experience, wasted no time in posting photos online of their newly purchased milk teas. Due to the large number of people lining up, passersby from different ethnic backgrounds couldn’t help but wonder: are the products in this store free?
