First Lady Supports Biden: Do Not Let 90-Minute Debate Define Four Years of Presidency

Recently, in an interview, the First Lady of the United States, Jill Biden, expressed her unwavering support for her husband and vowed not to let the 90-minute debate from last week define President Biden’s four years in office.

In an article by “The Hill” on Sunday, Jill Biden shared in an interview with “Vogue” magazine that she and her family “will not let those 90 minutes define his (Biden’s) four years as president.” She stated, “We will continue to fight,” emphasizing that Biden “will always do what is best for the country.”

On June 30th, Jill Biden conducted a pre-arranged interview with “Vogue” magazine over the phone while vacationing with President Biden and other family members at Camp David.

In the past few days, Biden’s campaign team has been working to address concerns about his performance in the debate, where he stumbled and at times misspoke while answering questions.

Following the debate, some Democrats questioned whether Biden was the best candidate for their party, with editorials in numerous national newspapers calling for Biden to step down.

However, both Biden’s campaign team and the White House have maintained that Biden will not withdraw from the race despite the party’s concerns. They have highlighted that within 72 hours after the debate, they raised over $33 million.

The day after the debate, on Friday, June 28th, Biden spoke to voters in Raleigh, North Carolina, reaffirming that he remains the best candidate for the White House. He said, “Folks, I don’t walk as easily as I used to. My speech isn’t as smooth as it used to be. My debate performance is not as good as it used to be, but I know what I know… I know how to tell the truth, I know right from wrong, I know how to do the job, I know how to get things done, and I know what millions of Americans know: when you get knocked down, you get back up.”
