Multiple photos and videos circulating on social media show dark smoke covering the sky at the location of the fire, drawing the attention of many spectators who stopped by the roadside to watch and take pictures.
The official Hangzhou fire department account stated that they received a report around 7:50 a.m. this morning, indicating a fire at a factory on Desheng East Road in Qiantang District.
Eyewitnesses revealed that the area is a logistics park with several interconnected warehouses. The factory where the fire broke out may have stored flammable materials such as wood and furniture, leading to an unusually intense blaze. The air at the scene was filled with a strong, acrid smell.
According to official reports, there have been no casualties reported as a result of the incident.
Prior to this incident, a fire broke out in a factory building in Jiepai Town, Danyang City, Jiangsu Province on July 17th, with thick black smoke billowing from the scene. Local business personnel reported that the fire started around 10 a.m. on the 17th. Around 9 p.m. on the same day, the Danyang City Emergency Management Bureau issued a statement indicating that the incident resulted in one fatality, with another person missing.
