Fifth Avenue Saks Christmas Light Show Returns

After a year of silence, New York’s classic Christmas light show – Saks Fifth Avenue flagship store’s Saks Light Show is making a comeback. This winter, the free outdoor festive event, which has a 21-year history, is once again lighting up Fifth Avenue, bringing back the vibrant atmosphere. This year, the “holiday windows” are also unveiled simultaneously.

Apart from performances and light effects, the six main windows facing Fifth Avenue depict fairytale scenes of winter city life in New York: from snowfall and boating in Central Park to attending shows at the theater, from a yellow taxi filled with gifts to decorating splendid Christmas trees and elegant New York-style row houses. Additionally, the extended windows on 49th and 50th streets showcase works from renowned designer brands such as Michael Kors, Fendi, Alexander McQueen, Valentino, and Giorgio Armani.

In 2024, the event was canceled for a year due to cost considerations and a sluggish luxury goods market, which sparked criticism and disappointment. Saks stated that this year’s return is not only to continue this tradition but also to celebrate the rebirth of creativity, innovation, and holiday spirit. Saks hopes to make this flagship building once again a landmark heart of New York’s winter holiday festivities.

The light show started on November 24, 2025, and will continue until January 4, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. each evening, with approximately every 10 minutes there is a display, all open to the public free of charge.
