Fatal Fire in Charnel M7 Tragedy: 3 Dead, 2 Severely Burned

Recently, a serious traffic accident involving a M7 Plus vehicle occurred in Yuncheng, Shanxi. A family of three tragically lost their lives, with two of them being charred, including a two-year-old child. The relatives of the deceased have raised some relevant questions, stating that they want to know the truth.

On April 27th, a netizen posted a video saying that on the 26th, a M7 vehicle driven by their family collided with a maintenance vehicle in Yuncheng, Shanxi, causing a fire and explosion in the front cabin, leading to the unfortunate deaths of her husband, brother, and two-year-old son.

The relatives of the deceased told mainland media, “My brother and my child burned in the car.”

She also mentioned that two to three hours after the accident, the customer service of the M7 brand called her asking about the “after-sales experience.” She questioned why they didn’t know (about the accident) after four hours?

The relatives of the deceased also questioned why the AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking) and GAEB (GOD Automatic Emergency Braking) did not activate automatically. Why did the battery catch fire despite the good protection? Why didn’t the airbag provide protection? She wants to know the truth.

According to blogger @車圈朵教主Dora, after interviewing Ms. Ma, a relative of the car owner, it was revealed that the incident occurred around 4 p.m. on April 26th, and she was informed around 6 p.m. At the time of the accident, her brother was driving, while her husband and two-year-old son were seated in the second row. The M7 was purchased only three months ago for about 250,000 yuan, confirming the presence of AEB function, which she found to be good in previous use, questioning why it didn’t trigger this time.

In addition, the safety airbags did not deploy in the video she received. Some kind-hearted passing drivers and two road workers attempted to rescue by breaking the windows of the second row, but unfortunately, all three individuals ultimately perished, with her brother and son burning inside the car for a long time.

The “4·26 Yuncheng vehicle collision fire accident” became a trending topic on April 28th, garnering significant attention from netizens.

Many netizens expressed doubts about why the car doors couldn’t be opened during the incident. “It’s too terrifying!”

Brother Hao discussing health care: When there is an accident, it is the responsibility of the driver. If there is no accident, it is the leading edge of intelligent driving, absolutely impossible to collide.

On April 28th, the M7 customer service responded that a special team had been set up to follow up and verify the incident, and they would cooperate with the traffic management department to conduct an investigation. It was reported that the vehicle was traveling at a speed of 115 km/h at the time of the accident, the safety airbags deployed normally, and the characteristics of the power battery pack were normal. “For specific investigation results, please refer to the subsequent notification by the traffic police department.”
