A factory in Cixi City, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, China, suddenly caught fire in the afternoon of September 28th, local time. The upper floors of a building in the factory complex were engulfed in flames, with thick smoke billowing into the sky.
Video footage released by official Chinese media showed the intense blaze consuming the upper levels of the building. Additional videos taken by bystanders from a distance captured the scene of thick smoke rising from the fire site.
According to reports from Jiemei Home Furnishings Factory in Cixi City, the building that caught fire belonged to the factory. At around 5:10 pm on the 28th, a staff member from Jiemei Home Furnishings stated that the fire was primarily on the fifth floor and above, and it had not been completely extinguished yet.
An official from the Cixi City Emergency Management Bureau mentioned that the affected floors were used as warehouses storing a large quantity of plastic products such as slippers, making it challenging to put out the fire.
Authorities confirmed that no individuals were trapped in the fire and there were no casualties reported. However, due to the Chinese Communist Party’s tendency to conceal information, the true extent of injuries and fatalities remains unknown at this time.
