Today, on the morning of January 13, in Yuncheng, Shanxi Province, a building materials company experienced a strong explosion at the border between Yuncheng’s Yanhu District and Linyi County.
A video circulating online shows that after the explosion, a white mushroom cloud appeared at the scene.
Local residents commented online, saying, “Where did the explosion happen??? The entire Yuncheng heard it, even a mushroom cloud appeared.”
“Thought it was an earthquake.”
“This morning, lying in bed, suddenly there was a loud explosion, it felt like the glass windows were about to shatter, the walls were shaking! Thought it was an earthquake and quickly ran outside, only to find it wasn’t! Really scared! Where did the explosion happen after all?”
According to the Beijing News, residents near the site of the incident stated that due to the shock wave from the explosion, the glass windows of their homes were shattered, and roller shutters were bent. The Chuhou Township Government in Linyi County stated that the incident occurred near Nayao Village in Chuhou. Relevant departments in Linyi stated that the company involved in the incident is a building materials company.
Local authorities reported that at 10:29 am, Shanxi Yuanhang Building Materials Company exploded and caught fire, the fire was extinguished, and there were no casualties. The cause of the accident is still under further investigation.
However, the official information from the Chinese Communist Party regarding casualties in accidents is often questioned for potential cover-ups.
Just on the afternoon of January 9, a factory (Jinsheng New Energy) in Huangfu Township, Wanrong County, Shanxi Province, experienced an explosion. Officials stated that three individuals were rescued from the scene, with one fatality and two injuries.
