Popular South Korean boy band EXO member Xiumin (金珉錫) led the way with two talented and good-looking actors, Choi Won Myung and Lee Seo Yun, to Taipei for the “CEO Idol Supermarket” fan meeting. Xiumin, who visited Taiwan again after five years, met fans this time in his actor identity.
Upon their arrival in Taipei the day before the event, they attracted a large number of EXO-L (official fan club name) fans at the airport. They continuously waved and greeted fans, with Xiumin expressing his happiness to see everyone and thankful for the fans’ support.
The theme of this fan meeting revolves around a youth idol drama “CEO Idol Supermarket” starring the three of them. The drama narrates the story of the idol boy group “Thunder Boys” on the verge of disbandment due to an accident and nearing 30. In their low point, they decide to take on the challenge of running a failing supermarket in danger of closure due to real-life issues. After their acquisition, Xiumin, Choi Won Myung, and Lee Seo Yun, with no practical experience, transform into rookie CEOs in their idol personas. Through the process of managing the supermarket, they grow continuously and regain their past passion and energy by interacting with customers.
At the recent fan meeting in Taipei, the three “supermarket” bosses reminisced about classic scenes from the drama. Xiumin, who played a taekwondo assistant in the drama, showed off his martial arts skills, Choi Won Myung, the butcher in the drama, recreated meat-cutting scenes, and Lee Seo Yun, who portrayed the busybody member, demonstrated dance skills, shyly performing dance sequences from the boy band.
Apart from sharing many interesting stories from filming, they played fun games with fans such as the shy “eye-contact game” and performed songs from the drama like “Daisy” and “Dear.”
During the group photo session with fans, Xiumin, Choi Won Myung, and Lee Seo Yun had fun and played around, making silly faces in the background, and cooperated with fans closely. Choi Won Myung and Lee Seo Yun first thanked fans for dedicating their precious time to support them, while Xiumin emotionally expressed, “It’s been a long time since we last met, I really miss everyone! I will soon meet you all with a new project, and I hope to visit Taiwan again. Please continue to watch out for my updates!”
