Enjoying a birthday celebration in Osaka before the concert, Chou Hui humorously describes it as “like a pilgrimage”.

May 4th, Zhou Hui will hold her 25th-anniversary solo concert at the Taipei Pop Music Center. Today, she revealed that the concert will have no guest performers. It will feature a selection of all her hit songs since her debut. Before the countdown to the concert, she flew to Universal Studios Osaka to celebrate.

Although this trip to Japan for the celebration seemed joyful, many things happened. Zhou Hui was busy promoting the concert and her accompanying friends forgot to buy express entry park tickets. During their trip in Japan, Zhou Hui, also known as the “Sunshine Girl,” encountered continuous rain.

Moreover, with the Japanese yen exchange rate very favorable, Zhou Hui increased her credit card limit specifically to buy a birthday gift to bring back. However, she found herself lacking desire for material things, saying, “I guess I only have an appetite that needs to be satisfied.” But with the concert approaching, she didn’t dare indulge in eating freely. She jokingly described this journey as a practice of wanting something but not really wanting it.

Zhou Hui has been unable to let go of her beloved pet dog, Mibao, since last year. The reason is that Mibao is getting old, with many physiological functions starting to decline, and has faced life-threatening situations several times, but thankfully overcame them all. In her 25th year in the industry, Zhou Hui has had various experiences. Besides preparing for the concert, she also took a course in pet communication. “I really want to know how my Mibao sees me, imagines me, and what it thinks I am doing,” she said. However, in the world of dogs, there are no jobs or concerts, so “we have to communicate using different terms.”
