Flushing, a paradise for food enthusiasts, is where you can taste the most authentic Chinese cuisine. The Flushing Business Improvement District (BID) announced on May 8th that they will be hosting the 3rd Flushing Restaurant Week from May 13th to 23rd, offering multiple discounts at selected restaurants in Flushing.
The Executive Director of Flushing BID, Daniel Yu, expressed that Flushing is a place filled with authentic Asian delicacies and through this event, they hope to showcase a variety of mouth-watering dishes. Last year, the 2nd Flushing Restaurant Week was a huge success with 21 restaurants participating and attracting over 5000 diners. This year, the number of participating restaurants has increased to 24, offering Japanese cuisine, Cantonese dishes, seafood, hot pot, barbecue, and more, expecting to draw in even more diners.
These 24 restaurants will offer set menus for two starting from $20 (specific menus available all day, lunchtime); while dinner before 6 p.m. will have special discounted prices.
The participating restaurants this year include: Coco Hot Pot, Crispy Burger, Dimsum Garden, Fish with You, Gan-Hoo BBQ, Gao’s Seafood and Kabob, Hunan Cafe, Hunan Noodle, JiBeiChuan Noodles, JUQI, LiuYiShou Hot Pot, Maxi’s Noodle, Nanxiang, Old Luo Yang, PappaRich, Partea, PrimeMet, Sing Choi Kee, Taier, Yasubee, Yin Ji Chang Fen, Yoi Sushi, Young and Rich NY, and Zhang Liang.
For example, at “Fish with You,” the “Old Altar Sauerkraut Fish Basa Fish Large Set Menu for Two” originally priced at $39.8 is offered at a discounted price of $29.8 for Restaurant Week; and the $61.49 package at “Dimsum Garden” is available at a special Restaurant Week price of $49.99.
Participants can bring their Restaurant Week receipts to the Flushing BID booth to exchange for an eco-friendly bag imprinted with “2024 Flushing BID.” Participants whose total spending exceeds $75 can get a special edition lunchbox from the Flushing BID booth.
