Embark with Love: “Love and Beauty Seminar” Shares Skincare Tips

On the afternoon of April 27th at 2 p.m., the “Amore Beauty Seminar” took place at the venue of the San Jose North California Fuzhi Foundation. Yian Chen, the beauty therapist and founder of “Amore Beauty,” along with Mandy Chen, the founder of the “Les Soie” brand and scalp care expert, jointly presented, sharing their professional skincare knowledge, inspiring the embrace of aesthetics with love, and engaging in prize draws to create a lively atmosphere.

Mandy took the stage first, sharing the founding story of “Les Soie” (meaning “silk” in French). From her passion for nutrition to delving into skincare due to scalp issues in her family, she emphasized the importance of science, explaining that the scalp is the soil of the hair and that healthy soil nurtures strong hair strands. She detailed cleansing, massages, dietary tips, advocated for natural products, demonstrated exclusive shampoo formulas, and received applause.

Following Mandy, Yian shared the initial intentions of “Amore” (meaning “love” in French). From being an interior designer to transitioning to beauty due to parenting, she said, “Amore Beauty is not just about external pursuits but also about inner healing.” Emphasizing personalized care tailored to skin type and habits, she aimed for every treatment and conversation to be warm, transcending aesthetics beyond the surface and deeply rooted in the rituals of daily life.

In the latter part of the seminar, Yian focused on male care, humorously awakening men: “Skincare is about loving yourself, not for your girlfriend or wife! The first impression in the workplace only lasts 7 seconds, a fresh appearance enhances professionalism and trust.” Using a funny story about a chemistry teacher’s nose hair, she highlighted the importance of details, analyzed the excessive oil on male skin, thickened keratin, and the characteristics of shaving micro-injuries. She recommended gentle oil control facial cleansers, regular exfoliation, moisturizing and sun protection, advocated for hyaluronic acid, and encouraged face mask application: “Apply a mask while playing games, 20 minutes can make you look 10 years younger, great value!” The male attendees nodded in agreement, laughter filling the room.

During the intermission, Mandy humorously hosted the “4-Minute Scalp Massage Challenge,” giving out scalp care massage combs. In the closing remarks, Yian, Mandy, and Christine jointly drew 5 sets of scalp care travel kits, 3 sets of Amore hyaluronic acid masks, and a two-hour spa treatment valued at $119. Yian’s mother and brother were called out for supplying the food and voluntarily forfeited the prizes, eliciting laughter from the audience. The winner, Miss Li, exclaimed, “The seminar was interesting and practical, and I gained a lot from the skincare products!”

In an interview with reporters, Yian shared the background of the seminar: “Three years ago, Zheng Kuangting from the Northern California Fuzhi Foundation invited me to share beauty knowledge, but I hesitated due to shyness. At the end of last year, I felt promoting aesthetics was a blessing and collaborated with Mandy to create a unisex seminar.” She thanked her family for preparing the food, warming the whole event.

Mandy said, “Scalp care is crucial for confidence and health, hoping everyone takes away the knowledge and falls in love with themselves.”

Jessie, a long-time client of Yian, emotionally expressed, “I met Yian when doing eyelashes, and for the past two to three years, she has always been sincere, kind to people, and her professional knowledge is convincing. I’ve used the shampoo she recommended for three or four tubes, and my scalp condition has improved significantly!” Listener Jenny shared, “I’ve been using Mandy’s products for two years, and my hairline is less visible. The results may be slow, but they are trustworthy.”

Angela stated, “The seminar was filled with practical information, from scalp to skincare, clear and easy to understand, helping me better understand how to choose products.” Male listener George said, “I’m delighted to attend this seminar, especially since scalp care is applicable to both men and women. I’ve learned a lot of practical knowledge as a man.”

Christine, the Deputy Director of the Activities Department of the Northern California Fuzhi Foundation, praised: “The service quality of the two speakers was extremely high, and the free seminar allowed everyone to cultivate both inside and out, spreading more warmth to the world.” She felt proud of the two speakers for their self-improvement.

The “Amore Beauty Seminar” brought together knowledge and spirituality. Yian and Mandy, starting with love, ignited a passion for aesthetics with professionalism and sincerity. From scalp care to male grooming, the seminar was informative and empowering. Yian concluded, “Starting from tomorrow, when looking at yourself in the mirror, please give yourself love and praise.” This seminar not only imparted skincare techniques but also planted the seed of self-love deep in everyone’s heart, waiting for it to bloom. ◇
