Elon Musk remains the world’s richest, Mark Zuckerberg surpasses Bezos to rank second.

With the rising stock price of Meta Platforms Inc., Mark Zuckerberg has surpassed Amazon founder Jeff Bezos to become the world’s second-richest person for the first time on Thursday, October 3.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Zuckerberg’s Meta has performed well in recent months, pushing his net worth to 206.2 billion dollars, surpassing Bezos by 1.1 billion dollars.

The world’s richest person remains Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and X Company, who leads Zuckerberg by nearly 50 billion dollars.

Meta’s second-quarter sales exceeded expectations, leading to a 23% increase in Meta’s stock price, closing at a historical high of 582.77 dollars on Thursday.

Zuckerberg owns 13% of Meta’s shares, and his wealth has grown by 78 billion dollars so far this year, marking the largest increase among the 500 billionaires tracked by the Bloomberg Index. This year, he has risen four places on the wealth index.
