Elon Musk Donates $45 Million Monthly to Trump Campaign

After surviving a harrowing assassination attempt, former President Trump’s popularity and support have seen a rapid rise as he vies for the White House in the United States. The latest news indicates that billionaire Elon Musk plans to donate approximately $45 million per month to a new super PAC that supports Trump.

Following the failed assassination attempt on Trump, Elon Musk, who has just reclaimed his title as the world’s richest person, declared his “full support for Trump,” after previously refusing to endorse any candidate for the 2024 U.S. presidential election.

The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday, July 15th, citing sources, that Musk is one of several tech tycoons who have made donations to the America PAC supporting Trump’s campaign.

Other supporters include Palantir Technologies co-founder Joe Lonsdale, cryptocurrency billionaires Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, former U.S. Ambassador to Canada Kelly Craft, and her husband Joe Craft, CEO of Alliance Resource Partners coal company.

The “America PAC” was established at the end of May in Austin, Texas, which happens to be the location of Tesla’s global headquarters.

Reportedly, this political group’s focus is on garnering support for Trump in swing states to counteract the Democratic Party’s extensive campaigning efforts.

However, according to CNBC, as of the quarterly financial statements filed with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) by Monday, June 15th, Musk had not yet provided any funds to the organization.

According to the submitted documents, from its inception until the end of June, the PAC had an income of $8.8 million, expenditures of $7.8 million, and approximately $1 million in cash on hand.
