‘Eleven,’ leader of the Push the Wall movement, protests against the CCP tyranny in Sweden

On the eve of the National Day of the People’s Republic of China, in front of the Chinese Embassy in Stockholm, Sweden, Liu Dongling, leader of the “Break the Wall Movement” in exile, raised the flag of the Republic of China and held up a sign protesting against the release of political prisoners by the Chinese Communist Party and the dismantling of the internet firewall.

Liu Dongling told Epoch Times reporter, “The Chinese Communist Party has no National Day, only a day of mourning. Since the CCP invaded the Republic of China and took over the National Government in Nanjing in 1949, and held the founding ceremony on October 1st, the CCP has brought countless disasters and harm to the Chinese people. However, we cannot ignore the truths covered up by the CCP, from its rule to the continuous violations of life and human rights, as well as the tight censorship of information.”

“I appeal here: I hope more people take to the streets to resist the CCP, realize internet freedom sooner, overthrow authoritarian rule, restore freedom of speech to the Chinese people, and let the voice of truth spread.”

Liu Dongling, from Zhengzhou, Henan Province, is an activist, democratic advocate, and leader of the “Break the Wall Movement”.

In 2023, Liu Dongling and Qiao Xinxin (real name Yang Zewei) initiated the “Break the Wall Movement” to counter the CCP’s internet firewall.

On May 31, 2023, Qiao Xinxin was arrested by the Chinese authorities in Laos, and Liu Dongling took on the operation of the “Break the Wall Movement”, vigorously promoting the importance of breaking down walls and creating tutorial videos for bypassing censorship.

In June 2024, the Danish government rejected the political asylum application of Liu Dongling and her son, sparking concern. To avoid being arrested and forcibly deported to China by Danish police, Liu Dongling and her 15-year-old son moved to Stockholm, Sweden, but faced significant difficulties due to the lack of passports.

Jie Lijian, Executive Director of the China Democratic Party Headquarters, said, “‘Break the Wall Movement’ and the ‘Evil People List’ are clear evidence of the CCP’s persecution of human rights, which has become a thorn in the side of the CCP. The CCP despises individuals like Liu Dongling and Qiao Xinxin. The suppression of truth and dissemination of lies through the internet firewall by the CCP ultimately led to the judgment against Liu Dongling today.”

Prominent Chinese human rights activist Sheng Xue, residing in Canada, once said, “The human rights abuses in China are undoubtedly the most severe and brutal problem in the world, yet the global attention to the situation of human rights abuses in China has always been insufficient.”

She added, “The (Liu Dongling incident) highlights that some Western countries like Denmark fundamentally do not have a clear understanding of the facts of human rights abuses in China and the evil nature of the CCP.”
