DreamWorks Animation Releases New Work: Robot Accidentally Becomes Mother of a Gosling

DreamWorks Animation will release a brand new animated film “The Wild Robot” on October 10th, adapted from Peter Brown’s bestselling novel of the same name.

Today, on the 12th, a new trailer for “The Wild Robot” was released (watch the video), showcasing the story of a robot named Roz who is stranded on a deserted island after a shipwreck. Everything seems new and fascinating to Roz, but the island’s animals perceive her as a monster.

Roz tries to analyze the animals’ language to understand the environment, and eventually meets a fox named Brightbill who informs her about the survival rules of the island. Through this encounter, Roz begins to build relationships with the animals.

During their exploration, Roz unintentionally becomes a mother figure to a gosling without having a programmed mothering instinct. The film explores how Roz navigates the responsibilities of protecting and teaching the gosling to forage, swim, and fly. Roz and Brightbill employ various methods to train the gosling, ensuring that it develops the skills to survive independently and migrate with other geese in the fall.

The evolving bond between the robot and the gosling is both unique and heartwarming. The genuine friendships that develop between the robot and the animals are touching. The film’s visual style and design are stunning, making it highly anticipated by audiences.
