Dream Chen shares a photo with Huang Xiaoming and signs contract with his cousin’s company to become an artist.

On December 5th, Chinese table tennis Olympic champion Chen Meng posted several photos with Huang Xiaoming on Weibo, captioned: “Isn’t this a coincidence, a cool sister meeting a handsome brother.” In the photos, Chen Meng is dressed in a black suit with delicate makeup, leaning towards Huang Xiaoming with a happy V-sign; Huang Xiaoming is wearing a velvet suit and glasses, with a big smile on his face.

After Chen Meng posted the photos, Huang Xiaoming appeared in the comments and replied: “It’s truly a coincidence, who is so lucky to have such a cool, fantastic, beautiful, and stylish little sister.”

According to reports from Chinese media, Chen Meng’s grandmother and Huang Xiaoming’s grandmother are biological sisters. During the 2024 Paris Olympics, when Chen Meng won the women’s singles title, Huang Xiaoming immediately posted 20 “Ah” on his personal Weibo to congratulate his cousin Chen Meng on her victory. Huang Xiaoming also told reporters, “When my little sister won the championship, there were more people congratulating her than when I won the Best Actor award, hahaha.” Huang Xiaoming also sent 100 red envelopes in a WeChat group to congratulate his cousin Chen Meng on defending her championship.

In October this year, Huang Xiaoming led all the artists from his company to send Mid-Autumn Festival blessings to fans. Chen Meng was listed among the artists, indicating that she has signed with Huang Xiaoming’s company.

Chen Meng, who is 31 years old, recently participated in the 2025 National Games. This was her first formal competition since the Paris Olympics. Apart from winning the women’s singles bronze medal, she also led the Shandong team to win the women’s team gold medal after a 12-year hiatus.

It is worth mentioning that in the women’s singles final of the Paris Olympics held last year, Chen Meng defeated her teammate Sun Yingsha with a score of 4-2 to win the gold medal. Although it should have been a moment of pride for the Chinese people, it seemed to disrupt the plans of the Chinese Table Tennis Association or the authorities. After Chen Meng won the championship, it not only sparked a lot of criticism from Chinese fans but even the coaching staff had a “grim” reaction. This peculiar phenomenon has sparked widespread discussions, with topics like “fan culture” and the dark side of the Chinese sports industry becoming hot topics.
