Chinese celebrity couple Deng Chao and Sun Li were recently spotted by fans taking their two children to South Korea to watch the BLACKPINK girl group’s “DEADLINE” concert in Seoul. Despite their low-key entrance, sitting in the front row meant they were still recognized by eagle-eyed fans.
After a two-year hiatus, the members of the South Korean girl group BLACKPINK reunited and kicked off their brand-new world tour concert “DEADLINE” on July 7th at the Goyang Gymnasium in Seoul. The atmosphere was electric with not just fervent fans but also various top talents and celebrities in attendance, making it a star-studded carnival of a concert.
Besides the multitude of Korean stars showing their support, there were also surprise appearances by Chinese celebrities. Deng Chao and Sun Li, accompanied by their 13-year-old son “Deng Deng” and 11-year-old daughter “Xiao Hua,” were in attendance. Despite their understated attire, the keen-eyed audience still recognized the family, with some even taking photos with them at the event.

When the idols performed, “Xiao Hua” excitedly stood up and even got her father, Deng Chao, to join in the fun. In contrast, “Deng Deng” seemed composed, quietly sitting next to Sun Li, attentively watching the show. Sun Li, with her long hair tied up elegantly, exuded a mature and graceful presence.
After the concert ended, Deng Chao, Sun Li, and their children hurriedly left, interacting warmly with fans by signing autographs and exchanging greetings, showing their down-to-earth nature. In a comical moment, Deng Chao was seen carrying his daughter’s small handbag on his shoulder, creating a humorous sight with the oversized bag against his 180cm tall stature. Despite the amusing scene, Deng Chao seemed unfazed, naturally fulfilling his duties as a father.
Fans speculated that Deng Chao and Sun Li’s trip was likely to fulfill their daughter “Xiao Hua’s” dream of pursuing her idol. Sun Li had previously mentioned that “Xiao Hua” is currently at the age where she enjoys K-pop, and she fully supports her daughter’s interests in learning Latin dance and attending concerts, with both parents accompanying her. Deng Chao had also mentioned on a variety show “Happy Camp” that if the children want to pursue their idols, he would take them to support them live. Their family’s presence at the BLACKPINK concert not only showcases Deng Chao and Sun Li’s love for the group but also demonstrates their commitment as parents to fulfill promises made to their children.
