“David Beckham Discusses the Values Passed Down to His Children”

Former British football superstar David Beckham, also known as Beckham, has always been the center of attention for media and fans. The 49-year-old has achieved great success in both his career and family life, making him the envy of many. Recently, at the just-concluded World Economic Forum in Davos, he shared with CNBC some simple values he instilled in his children, noting that these values actually originated from the teachings of his parents.

Beckham and his wife Victoria Beckham have four children – three sons and a daughter, leading a sweet and fulfilling family life together. Their eldest son Brooklyn Beckham is 25 years old, while their youngest daughter Harper Seven Beckham is 13 years old. Last year, Beckham advised his three sons to protect and look out for their sister, emphasizing the importance of being attentive and protective towards her.

During the Davos World Forum, Beckham discussed the “simple values” taught to him by his parents with CNBC host Tania Bryer. He emphasized that he has passed on these values to his children since starting his own family.

“I believe that my parents instilled in me the right values, such as treating everyone equally and respecting others, and I strive to teach these values to my children,” Beckham said.

“My boys know that they should let ladies enter first. When a lady leaves the table, they should stand up, shake hands, and make eye contact,” he added.

“All my children have been saying ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ since they were two or three years old,” the former football superstar further explained. “Victoria and I make a conscious effort to instill these simple values that we uphold throughout our growing up years in our children.”

This marked Beckham’s first attendance at the Davos World Economic Forum, where he was honored with the annual Crystal Award. This award recognizes his contributions as a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF. This year marks his 20th anniversary as a goodwill ambassador. In his acceptance speech, he expressed his belief in the potential of children.

“Given time, opportunities, and encouragement, children can fully realize their potential. Throughout my growth process, I benefited from the support of family, coaches, and teachers,” he shared.

Beckham mentioned to CNBC that raising children has inspired him to work for children worldwide. His children are well aware of their father’s work for UNICEF and each of them wants to contribute in different ways to various charitable causes.

Beckham has traveled to various parts of the world multiple times to raise awareness about UNICEF’s work for children.

“When I return home after my travels, I continue to show them picture after picture, helping them truly understand what is happening in the world, which I believe is very important,” he said.

Beckham is very attentive and caring towards his wife Victoria. Last July, they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. On that special day, they wore the same purple wedding outfits they wore 25 years ago when they got married.

Their century wedding was held at Luttrellstown Castle in Dublin, Ireland. Despite only inviting 29 close friends and family members to the low-key celebration, the stylish couple’s fashionable appearance captured the attention of many and became an instant hit.
