According to a report by the European news outlet Euronews, during the Easter celebration in Aradippou on April 22, a man named Dinos Kkantis performed a traditional act known as the “Dance of the Wine Glasses,” achieving this remarkable feat.
Clad in traditional attire, he danced to the music while placing tray after tray of wine glasses on his head, stacking them layer by layer.
In accordance with the Guinness World Record rules, the wine glasses stacked on multiple trays must be balanced on the head for at least 10 seconds.
The number of wine glasses challenged by Kkantis could reach as high as 468, surpassing the current world record of 319, awaiting official recognition by the Guinness World Records. Footage and relevant data captured at the scene have been submitted to the organization for review.
Kkantis expressed that he wanted to dedicate this record to his brother Zachary. Zachary tragically passed away at the age of 22 while dancing at his engagement party in 2007.
