Covid-19 Vaccine Victims Initiate Petition with Thousands of Signatures Calling for Release of Zhao Yajing

Recently, victims of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) COVID-19 vaccine have initiated a petition with thousands of signatures, calling for the immediate release of Zhao Yajing, a victim in Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province. She developed acute leukemia after receiving the vaccine, and was sentenced to 2 years and 9 months in prison during her attempts to seek justice. Currently, she is in critical condition, trapped behind bars.

In the petition, it was noted that in 2021, Zhao Yajing was forcibly vaccinated with two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine produced by the Chinese company Sinovac Biotech Ltd. After falling ill, she faced severe oppression for persisting in her quest for justice and was detained multiple times. On February 26, 2025, when Zhao Yajing went to Beijing to petition the Health Commission, she was arrested by the Procuratorate of Qixian County in Jinzhong City for “provocation and causing trouble”, and later sentenced to 2 years and 9 months in prison. She is currently held in custody at the Jinzhong City Detention Center in Shanxi Province, physically weakened and in a dire state.

Zhao Yajing’s husband, Wang Hongyi, told Epoch Times that a fellow inmate of Zhao Yajing recently conveyed a message from her, claiming that officials from Qixian County Court visited her in prison and stated that her “examination results were normal and her condition was stable.” However, despite the court’s assertion, Zhao Yajing insisted that there was no medication available for her, urging her family to quickly provide medicine and review her medical records at the hospital to confirm the test results. Wang Hongyi expressed disbelief in the court’s statement.

Meanwhile, officials from Qixian County in Jinzhong City informed Zhao Yajing’s family that her “condition was stable and all indicators were normal.” Wang Hongyi suspects that the court and authorities falsified the examination results.

On November 11, 2024, Zhao Yajing was detained for a month on charges of provocation and causing trouble after speaking out in a WeChat group and petitioning the Beijing Health Commission for her rights. Upon release, she underwent a medical examination at Peking University People’s Hospital, revealing gene mutations, multiple infections including in the lungs, intestines, urinary system, and pulmonary nodules.

Wang Hongyi described how after spending a month in detention, Zhao Yajing emerged extremely weak, struggling to breathe after a few steps and requiring a wheelchair. She experienced numerous episodes of bloody stools inside, but the detention center refused to provide her with medication.

He mentioned that prior to her imprisonment in February, Zhao Yajing had been responding well to traditional Chinese medicine, but has been forced to halt medication for over six months now. She urgently requested her family to bring her medicine, indicating that the prison lacked the necessary medications and her condition was deteriorating.

“I feel that the recent court reports of her stable condition are fabricated,” Wang Hongyi suspected, believing that the authorities intend for Zhao Yajing to perish in prison in order to shift responsibility. As there is a quota for deaths in prison, absolving the relevant departments of accountability if she were to die inside. “They are trying every means to eliminate her,” he added.

Wang Hongyi and Zhao Yajing got married in August 2020, and during their pre-marital health check, Zhao Yajing showed no signs of hereditary illnesses. However, after receiving the CCP vaccine, their new family life was shattered. To cover medical expenses, they sold their marital home, spending over 600,000 yuan and accumulating debts. Both of them were sentenced for standing up for their rights.

Devastated by her sentencing, Zhao Yajing expressed a desire to die, and Wang Hongyi attempted self-harm several times. However, the thoughts of his wife in prison and his elderly parents stopped him each time. He fears that without Zhao Yajing’s prompt release, it will be nearly impossible for her to walk out from behind bars alive. “If she truly dies in there, with her life gone, everything will be lost.”
