Against the backdrop of the escalating COVID-19 (CCP virus) outbreak in mainland China, individuals from Anhui Hefei and Henan Anyang recently disclosed to Epoch Times that local hospitals are seeing an increase in infections, with beds in high demand and even cases of “white lungs” emerging. Of particular concern is the observation of a higher incidence of sudden deaths among the younger adult population in both regions. Additionally, staff in Hefei hospitals are facing reduced wages and direct government siphoning of hospital funds.
According to a report by CCTV News on June 11th, there has been a recent trend of COVID-19 infections spreading in multiple regions across the country.
Released on June 5th by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the bulletin “National Novel Coronavirus Infection Situation (May 2025)” revealed that from May 1st to May 31st, there were 440,662 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 nationwide, including 606 severe cases and 7 deaths.
In comparison, in April (from April 1st to April 30th), there were 168,507 newly reported cases, with 340 severe cases and 9 deaths. This indicates a significant increase in confirmed cases and severe cases in May compared to April.
From May 5th to June 1st this year, the positivity rate for influenza-like cases testing positive for COVID-19 continued to rise from 18.3% to 22.8%.
An employee at a hospital in Hefei, Anhui, Mr. Wang, revealed that the number of COVID-19 infected patients in the local hospital has significantly increased, with a significant number of severe cases, leading to a shortage of hospital beds at times. He confirmed that several individuals around him have developed “white lungs,” including young students and elderly individuals, some still receiving inpatient treatment while others have been discharged.
Mr. Wang also mentioned that among people he knows, there have been cases of young and middle-aged adults (in their twenties and thirties) dying suddenly, with some passing away unexpectedly while walking. He stated that these incidents are usually not openly discussed. He observed that local funeral homes have been busy in recent years, requiring people to queue, and the prices of burial plots remain high, ranging from tens of thousands to over a hundred thousand yuan depending on the location.
Furthermore, Mr. Wang told reporters that hospital staff across the board have experienced reduced wages, with some friends seeing their salaries halved. He disclosed that this is related to the government’s tight finances, as the government has been taking away the hospital’s money directly. Government officials have been stationed at hospitals, “directly withdrawing the hospital’s funds every day.” Due to explicit rules within hospitals prohibiting the disclosure of this information, employees generally do not dare to speak openly about it.
Personally, Mr. Wang believes that the aforementioned phenomena may be related to the COVID-19 outbreak and the administration of COVID-19 vaccines. He pointed out that the number of people diagnosed with lung nodules that may develop into pneumonia or lung cancer has multiplied, particularly with frequent occurrences in student health check-ups. He expressed concern that lung nodules may progress into pneumonia or lung cancer, noting a significant increase in the number of lung cancer patients in hospitals.
Mr. Hao from Anyang, Henan, also told reporters that local hospitals have been constantly overcrowded. He particularly noted a recent increase in sudden deaths, especially among young adults (in their thirties to forties). He personally knows of two to three cases where these deceased individuals had no underlying health conditions and were in good physical condition but passed away very suddenly.
Mr. Hao mentioned that after people die, their families usually do not investigate the cause and generally attribute it to heart disease. But he emphasized that these deceased individuals had no history of heart disease. He pointed out that the group of sudden deaths includes workers, white-collar workers, and professionals from various industries. However, he also stated that nobody dares to openly claim that these sudden deaths are related to the administration of COVID-19 vaccines, even if diagnosed with sepsis, as no one dares to link it to the vaccines.
Mr. Hao also noted that many people have experienced lingering effects after getting vaccinated against COVID-19: some have become more prone to colds with weakened immunity, while others suffer from frequent colds, often feeling weak overall, and these symptoms are generally difficult to cure.
He also observed that over the past two years, the number of sepsis patients has significantly increased, with lung nodules becoming more common and easily progressing to lung cancer, yet doctors do not disclose the true situation.
