A project named “Gan Jing World” based in the United States has been recognized by a province in Argentina for its “provincial, educational, cultural, and social significance”. The Chamber of Deputies in Santiago del Estero province in northwestern Argentina made this declaration on December 10, 2024.
Founded in the middle of 2022, “Gan Jing World” has a mission to cultivate an online community with positive and constructive content at its core. The platform’s name, meaning “clean” in English, embodies its mission to provide a space for sharing and consuming healthy content.
Representatives from the “Committee on Culture and Education” of Santiago del Estero province, Dr. Nora Mercado and Dr. M. Analía Herrera, strongly supported this initiative, aiming to expand the influence of “Gan Jing World” within the community to benefit people of all age groups.
Before submitting the platform to the “Committee on Education and Culture” and obtaining approval from the legislature for this announcement, Mercado and Herrera thoroughly reviewed the foundation of the platform to ensure it can safeguard users.
Both representatives pointed out that this project will enable more people to benefit from a digital culture free from harmful content. In addition to other measures, they proposed introducing “Gan Jing World” to universities and the education sector throughout Santiago del Estero province.
In November 2024, during the “Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance” art exhibition held at the Chamber of Deputies, government authorities learned about “Gan Jing World” and its mission to restore sincere connections and promote a culture of kindness.
One of the main objectives of the platform is to support youth educators in the digital age in guiding students to establish traditional values and moral standards, countering the influence of social media algorithms that maximize content consumption.
Representatives from Santiago del Estero province expressed concerns about harmful online content, particularly its sensitive impact on teenagers in terms of public opinion, emotions, and behavior. Educators participating in the art exhibition also showed interest in “Gan Jing World”, highlighting community concerns about children and parents’ smartphone addiction and emphasizing the platform’s potential value in addressing these issues.
The legislative bodies supporting this declaration expressed their appreciation for tradition and enthusiasm for the mission and services of “Gan Jing World”.
Currently, “Gan Jing World” is hosting a competition called “Kindness is Cool”, inviting creators to showcase acts of kindness big and small, with a grand prize of $10,000.
According to the platform’s introduction, “Gan Jing World” plans to expand into Latin America with the goal of meeting the community’s demand for a secure platform, advocating traditional values, and striving to create and provide cleaner and more meaningful content for future generations.
