Chinese Military Holds Joint Landing Exercise in Fujian; Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense: Close Monitoring

The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China stated that starting from the 3rd, various types of aircraft from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), in coordination with amphibious ships, roll-on/roll-off cargo vessels carrying ground forces, conducted joint landing exercises near Dacheng Bay, Dongshan, Fujian. The military closely monitored and appropriately responded to the situation.

The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China issued a press release on the evening of the 4th, stating that since the 3rd, various types of main and support aircraft, helicopters, and drones from the CCP have been successively detected, in coordination with amphibious ships and roll-on/roll-off cargo vessels carrying ground forces, engaging in joint landing exercises in the sea near Dacheng Bay, Dongshan, Fujian.

The Taiwanese Ministry of Defense emphasized that the military used joint intelligence surveillance means to closely monitor and simultaneously grasp the regional dynamics for appropriate responses.

On the 5th, the Taiwanese Ministry of Defense disclosed the activities of CCP aircraft in the airspace around the Taiwan Strait, from 6:00 am on the 4th to 6:00 am today, detecting 14 instances of CCP aircraft (of which 13 instances crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait into the airspace of the north, southwest, and east), 7 instances of CCP vessels, and 2 instances of government ships, continuing to operate around the Taiwan Strait.

The Ministry of National Defense of Taiwan stressed that the military deployed aircraft and shore-based missile systems to closely monitor and respond to the situation.

Furthermore, the Taiwanese Ministry of Defense issued a press release on the 3rd, indicating that on the morning of the 3rd at 9:20 am, the CCP carried out a satellite launch mission using a carrier rocket at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan. The rocket’s flight path passed southwest of Taiwan’s Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) towards the western Pacific Ocean, at an altitude outside the atmosphere, posing no threat to Taiwan. The Ministry of National Defense emphasized that the military utilized a joint intelligence surveillance system to closely monitor relevant activities and maintain appropriate vigilance and responses.
