The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a recall of a children’s play yard sold on Amazon due to serious risks of injury or even death.
According to the CPSC recall press release, the product named “Play Yards” poses risks of “suffocation and entrapment”. The product is manufactured by Guangzhou Tinger Trading Co. Ltd in China and operates under the Anna Queen brand. The recall action began on November 20.
The recall notice stated that this product “violates mandatory standards for play yards”.
The CPSC stated: “Infants may become entrapped under the mattress or between the side of the play yard and the mattress, posing a risk of serious injury or suffocation.”
The agency further added: “Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled play yard and contact Anna Queen for a full refund.”
This play yard has been sold on Amazon since March 2025, with prices ranging from $100 to $110.
As of now, there have been no reports of accidents or injuries associated with this product.
The CPSC stated: “The sides of the recalled play yard are made of black fabric, with the mesh panel edges in grey. The top rail is covered with white fabric featuring colorful designs including bear faces, bear paws, and the word ‘BEAR’.”
Consumers can identify the recalled product by looking for the model number P700 and a production date of March 2025 (Model: P700, Production Date: 202503), printed on the packaging and removable labels.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends that consumers who have purchased the recalled play yard should “remove the fabric cover from the frame, cut the fabric cover and mattress into pieces, and send photos of the damaged play yard to the email address associated with the retailer ([email protected]) to receive a full refund.”
Afterwards, consumers should properly dispose of the damaged play yard.
