Chinese Community Center Offers Successful Free English Classes, New Session Starts in July

The Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association of New England has achieved great success with its free adult English classes held from April to June. A new session of English classes will begin on July 2nd, and those interested in joining the free courses can now go to the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association to register and take a proficiency test.

The adult English classes organized by the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association started on April 9th this year, and the first session concluded successfully on June 13th. The graduation ceremony on that day was warm and simple, with the aroma of self-brought fruits, homemade pastries, and exquisite Hainan chicken dishes filling the air.

The Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association expressed that with the patient guidance of the teachers and the unremitting efforts of the students, the joy in their smiles reflects their inner happiness, and they believe that the students will achieve excellent results. Chairman Lei Guohui of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association mentioned in a board meeting at the end of May that the first session of free adult English classes consisted of basic, intermediate, and advanced levels, with classes held from Tuesday to Friday over a total of 10 weeks, with over 40 students participating.

The second session of classes will commence on July 2nd, and registration is currently open. Those interested in joining the free course can come to the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association for a proficiency test every Monday morning (June 17th, 24th, and July 1st) at 9:30 am to determine their class placement. The new session’s class timings will be from Tuesday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 10:30 am.
