The statistics from 6 a.m. on the 18th to 6 a.m. today show that there have been 14 instances of Chinese military aircraft (with 13 instances crossing the mid-line of the Taiwan Strait into the northern and southwestern airspace), 5 Chinese military ships, and 4 patrol vessels continuing their activities around the Taiwan Strait.

Based on the “Illustration of Chinese Military Activities in the Airspace around the Taiwan Strait” released by the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China, from 9:25 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. on the 18th in the airspace over the Taiwan Strait, 10 instances of Chinese main battle aircraft, helicopters, and drones were detected, with 9 instances crossing the mid-line. The national military is using surveillance aircraft, ships, and shore-based missile systems to closely monitor and respond to the situation.

On the 18th from 9:15 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Republic of China military also detected 4 instances of Chinese main and support aircraft and helicopters in the southwestern airspace of Taiwan. On the 17th, the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China also reported the activities of the Chinese military in the airspace around the Taiwan Strait from 6 a.m. on the 16th to 6 a.m. on the 17th, detecting 34 instances of Chinese military aircraft (including 14 instances crossing the mid-line of the strait into northern, central, and southwestern airspace) and 6 Chinese military ships, along with 2 patrol vessels. In total, 42 Chinese ships and aircraft are continuously active around the Taiwan Strait, and the national military is closely monitoring and responding to the situation using surveillance aircraft, ships, and shore-based missile systems.
