The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China responded today to the “reward notice” issued by the Fuzhou Public Security Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party regarding military personnel, stating that the CCP’s intention to carry out cognitive warfare is obvious, and its methods are crude and poor.
The Fuzhou Public Security Bureau in Fujian Province issued a reward notice on the 11th, claiming to collect clues of illegal activities of 18 core members of Taiwan’s military “Political Warfare Bureau Psychological Warfare Battalion” (referred to as the “Psychological Warfare Battalion”), and released personal information and photos of these 18 individuals.
In a press release issued at noon today, the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China stated, “The related measures reflect the authoritarian and hegemonic thinking of the totalitarian regime, with the obvious intention of dividing the people, belittling our government, and employing crude and poor methods to carry out cognitive warfare.”
The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China explained that, “In recent years, the CCP has repeatedly used official media to publish so-called ‘reports,’ mainly exploiting the characteristics of information dissemination in our free and democratic society to fabricate and falsify personal data, with the intention of dividing Taiwan’s society and undermining public morale. However, it also highlights the CCP’s desperation in its original cognitive attack strategies.”
The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China emphasized that defending national security and protecting the well-being of the people are responsibilities that every military officer and soldier must fulfill without hesitation. It urged the people to continue to cherish the military, support national defense construction, and work together to build a strong defense force to ensure national security.
Previously, on the 10th, the Chinese Ministry of Public Security accused a colonel in the Military Intelligence Bureau of the Ministry of National Defense of leading a Taiwanese company in conducting anti-propaganda sabotage activities against China and nurturing “Taiwanese separatist naval forces.”
In response, the Military Intelligence Bureau of the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China issued a press release in the afternoon of the 10th, stating, “The spread of such false information by the CCP during our National Day celebrations is part of its long-term use of various means to discredit the military, attempting to influence public opinion internally, cover up its governance failures, and systematically manipulate public opinion using domestic regulations to extend its influence and undermine the morale of our military and people.”
The Military Intelligence Bureau of the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China stated that it will continue to conduct meticulous intelligence research and work in accordance with intelligence policy guidance to safeguard the country.
October 10th marked the 114th birthday of the Republic of China. The Chinese Communist Party continuously dispatched military aircraft, ships, and government vessels to harass Taiwan. The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China disclosed the movements of Chinese military assets around the Taiwan Strait, reporting a total of 16 Chinese aircraft and ships operating in the vicinity from 6 a.m. on the 10th to 6 a.m. today, including three aircraft that crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait into northern and southwestern airspace, as well as eight ships and one government vessel.
The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China emphasized that the national military is closely monitoring and prepared to respond using aircraft, ships, and coastal missile systems to any provocations.
