Chinatown Sai Yeung Choi Street gets a facelift this summer with new ground murals, seeking public art designs.

Located in the heart of Manhattan’s Chinatown, Doyers Street is a street rich in culture and history. It has been designated as a car-free open street by the transportation department, making it one of the popular must-visit spots for tourists in New York City.

The Chinatown Business Improvement District (Chinatown BID) is currently seeking design proposals for a ground mural spanning 4,800 square feet in the Doyers Street plaza. The design should be simple, eye-catching, and vibrant in color. The budget for the project is set at $3,000, and the selected designer will oversee volunteers in completing the painting. The project is expected to be finished by July.

The deadline for submitting design proposals is June 26th. For more information, interested parties can contact Rosie Li at [email protected] or visit 217 Park Row, Suite 9, New York, NY 10013.
